BBQ in the Rain

Rain, rain and more rain. We’ve had some sunny days but it seems like just about dinner time, it clouds up and starts raining. Summer in New Hampshire means eating out on the deck but it has been a bit damp for that.

Fortunately a few years ago, we got a grill gazebo or grillzebo as some people call them. Sure makes a difference. Some friends said they hadn’t had their grill out at all yet. With the shelter of the grill gazebo, Denny grills 4 or 5 times a week, rain or shine.

Even though we’re eating inside, the grilled brats on buns or the blackened salmon have that summertime grilled taste.  Sunday we had barbecued country-style ribs with corn on the cob and wild rice. Since we ate early, we were able to eat on the deck before the rain started up.

I really shouldn’t complain about the rain. Without it, we wouldn’t have all these lovely tall trees around.
